Vegan Substitutes for Traditional Ingredients
Here are vegan substitutes for some common food items
EGG Substitutes There are several options, depending on what they are needed for. You may want to experiment. Here are some possibilities (each quantity is equivalent to 1 egg):
• Ener-G Egg Replacer (follow directions on box)
• 1 banana (for cake recipes)
• 1 Tbsp ground flex seeds (binding agent)
• 2 Tbsp corn starch
• 2 Tbsp arrowroot flour
• 2 Tbsp potato starch
• 2 Tbsp soy milk powder & 2 Tbsp water
• 2 Tbsp mashed silken tofu
Soy Milk, Almond Milk, Rice Milk, Cashew Milk.

Place 1 tablespoon of vinegar in your measuring cup and add soy milk as required.
Vegan Sour cream
Take One packet of silken brand hard tofu. add 1 tbs of apple vinegar, 1 tbs of lemon juice and salt to taste. blend the mixture in Vitamix.
You can use a sugarless apple butter.
Because white sugar may be whitened using animal bones, Many people may not want to use it. Try a sweet juice instead of water called for in the recipe.
For an even sweeter taste, use juice concentrate in the mixture. Also, try rice syrup, Maple syrup or brown sugar
Organic Agave Nectar is a great substitute as it has no after taste and a low glycemic index hence considered safer for diabetics.
